Why I Created Anxiety Free Retirement
If you're here, there's a good chance you're asking some of the same questions thousands of professional women ask as retirement gets closer.
"Have I really saved enough?"
"What if the market drops at the wrong time?"
"How do I protect everything I've worked so hard to build?"
I understand those questions because I've seen firsthand how one financial decision can change the course of a person's future.
Years ago, I experienced an event that completely changed the way I looked at retirement planning. It taught me that retirement isn't just about growing money—it's about protecting it when it matters most.
That experience became the foundation for Anxiety Free Retirement.
Today, my mission is simple: to help professional women approach retirement with greater confidence, clarity, and peace of mind through education, understanding, and informed decision-making.
In March of 2001, I walked into work expecting an ordinary day.
Instead, more than one hundred employees were told our jobs had been eliminated.
Like so many others, I suddenly found myself facing decisions I had never imagined making.
One of those decisions involved my retirement account.
A short time later, I received a distribution check and the paperwork that came with it. As I sat at my kitchen table looking through the investment prospectus, I discovered something that completely stopped me.
My retirement account had once been worth more than $128,000.
By the time I received my money, more than $63,000 had disappeared.
No one had called to warn me.
No one had explained how quickly years of hard work could disappear when the market moved against me.
At that moment, I realized something I had never fully understood.
Retirement isn't just about trying to earn the highest return.
It's about protecting what you've spent a lifetime building.
That single experience changed the direction of my life.
You may never experience the exact situation I faced.
But if you're approaching retirement, the questions are often the same.
How do I protect what I've spent decades building?
How do I create dependable income without lying awake every time the stock market falls?
How do I make decisions that allow me to enjoy retirement instead of worrying about it?
These are the questions I believe every woman deserves to have answered before she retires—not after.
I believe retirement planning should never begin with products.
It should begin with education.
When you understand how retirement works, you ask better questions.
When you ask better questions, you make better decisions.
And when you make better decisions, retirement becomes less about fear...and more about freedom.
That's the philosophy behind everything I teach.
